lpv:translated text	"I voted for the regulation on administrative cooperation through the Internal Market Information System (IMI), which is a tool to improve the efficiency of administrative cooperation between competent authorities in the framework of the application of a piece of EU legislation. I would stress the importance of the protection of personal data in the IMI system and fully support Parliament’s action in favour of improving the transparency of procedures, especially as regards the key functionalities of the system and the categories of data that may be processed therein. Within the framework of the amendment to the Professional Qualifications Directive, on which we are currently working, it is proposed to make the use of the IMI system compulsory, thus reducing costs, overcoming linguistic and administrative issues and accelerating the recognition procedure for professional qualifications. It is an efficient way of improving the governance of the single market and it has my full approval."@en1
