"I voted in favour of the report on administrative cooperation through the Internal Market Information System (IMI). IMI offers an online application for the exchange, in various languages, of information and cross-border administrative cooperation that benefits 6 000 European authorities. The aim of the report is to increase the transparency and legal certainty of the stored data and to guarantee a well-defined data retention period. I support the idea that the system could be extended to other areas of EU legislation, provided that these extensions are always subject to a proposal for a regulation"@en1
