lpv:spoken text	"This legislation enshrines in EU law an international agreement that the UK has already signed up to as part of the International Maritime Organisation. Air pollution from shipping can reach far inland and is estimated to cause 50 000 premature deaths a year across the EU. The legislation will set binding limits on the sulphur content of fuels used in the maritime industry, bringing it down from 4.5% to 0.5% in all EU waters and leading to a significant reduction in sulphur emissions from ships. As a result, we should see an improvement in air quality across the UK, and the EU as a whole, and a reduction in respiratory illnesses, heart disease and other health problems. There will therefore be significant environmental and health benefits to this legislation."@en1
