It is highly desirable to have European standardisation that is as standardised and harmonised as possible and which takes account of the structures of the European system. The standardisation system affects the activity of enterprises and their competitiveness. It is therefore vital to move towards cutting red tape and making the industrial fabric a participant in decisions concerning European standardisation.
