lpv:translated text	"With this report we are calling on the European Commission to provide a general overview of the accessibility of banking services to European citizens. An overview of this kind is necessary in order to be able to take the necessary steps to implement these services. Today, basic banking services are an essential requirement for all EU citizens and are also a litmus test of the social framework of a country. Access to banking services is vital to access health care, to benefit from the internal market and to be able to access employment pathways. We call upon the Commission to spread and extend basic banking services to as many EU citizens as possible, formalising our call for concrete and prompt action in this area."@en1
