This report sets the European Union two objectives for reviving investment: making Europe an attractive destination again for foreign investors and promoting the entrepreneurial spirit amongst local entrepreneurs. These measures must allow us to counterbalance weak economic growth, high taxation and high public debt accumulation, which are raising major concerns to investors. I also support the recommendations the rapporteur makes in this document relating to the fields upon which we need to focus our energy and our action: we must address human capital needs better, ensure stability and improve access to finance, strengthen territorial cooperation, enhance the single market and boost research and innovation."@en1
