More transparent pricing schemes and better management of wastewater must therefore be developed. Today, as much as 70% of the water supplied to European cities is lost as a result of leaks in the water system. By November, the Commission will have published its ‘Blueprint to safeguard Europe’s water resources’. We must, from then on, act quickly to tackle the wastage of our most precious resource."@en1
