"Intellectual property rights (IPR) are vital for innovation and a key priority of the Europe 2020 strategy. Given the increase in violations of these rights and the international trade in counterfeit goods, economic growth and jobs are largely dependent on effective monitoring of the enforcement of IPR legislation. Procedures should therefore be established to enable the customs authorities to prevent the movement of goods which they suspect of infringing IPR. I voted for this document in Parliament for the aforementioned reasons."@en1
