lpv:translated text	"I would ask you all to listen to me for a moment, so that we act correctly at this juncture from a procedural point of view. Mr Rapkay, as rapporteur, has moved to have this item removed from the agenda. I will hold a vote on that motion in a moment. However, Mr Lehne, we do have to consider how to move on in relation to this matter. I will therefore make the following observations: what we were going to vote on tomorrow was an agreement at first reading reached between the rapporteur and the Council. On 2 December 2011, the Council informed Mr Lehne, in a formal letter, that it had unanimously adopted the text in Coreper that we were aiming to decide on tomorrow here in Parliament. The European Council has now asked Coreper to amend the text in question, and to do so tomorrow. The result is that we find ourselves in the situation that an agreement at first reading has been abrogated by the Council. In other words, there is no agreement at first reading. I therefore assume, Mr Lehne, that the Council will inform you in an amending letter of how the new version is worded. I would ask you to then put this matter back on the agenda in the committee, as the committee will need to decide how we go forward from here. In other words, we will take the item off the agenda and, once you have received formal communication from the Council, you should bring the matter back up in the Committee on Legal Affairs. That is the situation as I understand it at this point, and that is also how it will appear in the minutes."@en1
