It is encouraging to note that EU legislation in this area is to be revised later this year. Today’s vote is important in ensuring that more stringent safety checks and increased product traceability is introduced in regard to breast implants. Products such as these should not be allowed to retail without such measures in place. In this context, the passing of today’s resolution should help to institute important industrial change."@en1
