lpv:translated text	"Mr President, I think that this is a very important motion for a resolution, and I voted in favour of it, because this concerns public consultations and their availability in all the languages of the EU. If the European Union wants to be credible in the eyes of its citizens, it also has to provide all essential information in the language that those citizens speak. Only in this way can we win people’s trust, and I think that this is one area where we must make far more effort to ensure that people receive information in language that is easily comprehensible on the European Union’s role and that of its various institutions. People should be able to have access to all documents and all hearings in their own language. This lies at the heart of what we need from the EU, and, for that reason, Parliament, as a democratic body, must stand up for the right of the people to have access to all public documents in their own language, and that goes for all hearings and consultations as well."@en1
