Nonetheless, and in relation to this report, we cannot help but draw attention to points with which we disagree and whose measures will perpetuate Latin American countries’ dependency, like the free trade agreements supported in this report and challenged by those countries’ workers and producers. Moreover, cooperation should be selfless and not based on motives like competition from Chinese investments in the region. We do not accept the possibility of any link between development support and the intervention of EU external – that is, militaristic – action."@en1
