lpv:translated text	"The rapporteur insists that, for the EU, reinforcing our presence in Latin America could provide a new impetus towards the way out of the crisis. Therefore, the rapporteur believes in the necessity of a redirection of our development aid policy. Coordinated and customised cooperation is necessary that gives due regard to the situation of each country and that is based on broader indicators than those that measure income level. The rapporteur requests that the European Commission present a coherent strategy for the gradual withdrawal of bilateral aid to the middle income countries, and that it reinforce aid to the low income countries.
