This has been exacerbated by the globalisation of trade, the ageing of the population and the obsolescence of certain industries. In the course of its existence and mobilisation, certain imperfections have been detected and it has become clear that procedures need to be streamlined so as to have a positive impact on the lives of the unemployed workers whom it seeks to help. Technical support for the EGF is thus essential.
