"Mr President, we have reached a paradoxical situation in which the Spanish people have to feed the beast that is killing them. That beast is a financial system corrupted by disastrous decisions. In order to solve the inefficiencies of the State, a macro-state has been created with more inefficiencies and more bureaucracy. In order to convey that ‘whoever does, pays’, the people are rescuing banks that involved themselves in practices that were dubious in terms of morality and sustainability. Europe is forcing its peoples to collectivise the waste committed by incompetent governments and irresponsible institutions. Ladies and gentlemen, Mr President, is there any sense to this? The fact is that this project needs to be rethought because you have lost control of it."@en1
