The growing use of the Internet and digital media makes the problem of cybersecurity a priority for the European Union. Information and communication technologies can, in fact, promote economic and social development only if the existing regulations guarantee users’ safety on matters such as data privacy and intellectual property rights. For this reason, only full international cooperation involving all Member States, institutions and the industries in the sector can establish a robust system, capable of introducing measures that can effectively ensure cybersecurity."@en1
