lpv:translated text	"Mr President, I would like to talk about a particular aspect, the European year for active ageing and solidarity between generations. The purpose of the year is to raise awareness about how much older people do to contribute to society. Efforts are being made to encourage policy makers and stakeholders at all levels to act, in order to create better opportunities for active ageing and to strengthen solidarity between generations. Active ageing: that means ageing in good health as full members of society, feeling more fulfilled in our jobs, more independent in our everyday lives and more central as citizens. No matter how old we are, we can still play our part in society and enjoy life more. This is the challenge, even when we are very old. I very much welcome this report."@en1
