"Mr President, even climate change sceptics must accept that mineral resources are finite and that the demand for resources will rise exponentially. Of course, the one resource that we sometimes overlook is the human resource, the quality of our peoples. If we look on page 7 of the Commission’s 2010 document, Europe 2020, it says that Europe has many strengths and we can count on the talent and creativity of our peoples. This was a rare admission. Perhaps the author’s Orwellian crimestop button had been left unconnected. That would usually have prevented ideological thoughtcrime from being committed, but not on this occasion. However, the author was quite right. The achievement of the peoples of Europe in science, technology and the arts have been unparalleled. We might ask why we are so intent on replacing Europe’s populations with the populations of other parts of the world that have been less fortunate in their blessings."@en1
