"Regulation (EU) No 211/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 February 2011 stipulates that, once the Commission has registered a citizens’ initiative, the organisers shall be given the opportunity to present the citizens’ initiative at a public hearing held at the European Parliament. The main objective of this report is, quite rightly, to introduce the necessary amendments to Parliament’s Rules of Procedure to regulate organising and holding these hearings. I voted in favour because I agree with the content of these amendments."@en1
