Unfortunately, in this country, there is still much gender inequality which does not comply at all with the parameters set by the EU in the 2020 perspective for women in Turkey. All kinds of violence and infringement of rights happen every day against women, who are killed, mistreated or humiliated owing to a chauvinist mentality and culture, which is, unfortunately, still borne out by statistics. Parliament therefore calls for greater state control, commitment in local policy on the issue of protection of women and gender equality, facilitating their access to education and work."@en1
