lpv:translated text	"I voted in favour of the resolution on a 2020 perspective for women in Turkey. Violence against women is one of the most urgent problems facing Turkey. Two or three women are killed every day by their own husbands, boyfriends, families or ex-husbands. The existing legislation, Law No 4320, does have shortcomings, such as the lack of a mechanism for immediately removing those resorting to domestic violence from the proximity of the woman who has been subjected to this violence. Furthermore, the police, prosecutors and judges are often divided when it comes to the scope of the law and the punishment to be given to the person who has resorted to violence. It is vital that, apart from amending the law with the aim of applying more immediate and efficient remedies in domestic violence cases, this law should be interpreted and enforced in a uniform manner by all the authorities involved in its implementation."@en1
