"I welcome the adoption of this report, which makes the necessary amendments to the law applicable to non-contractual obligations arising out of violations of privacy and rights relating to personality. I would emphasise the proper balance between freedom of expression and respect for private life. I share the opinion of the rapporteur on the need to adapt existing legislation to extend the scope of the law to different content published on the Internet. This report also makes it possible to better identify which law is applicable in the case of cross-border litigation."@en1
