"I voted against this report, as it calls for special attention and financial support for regional airports, without a single condition with regard to security or even the environment. Before the vote in the Committee on Transport and Tourism, the Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance proposed various amendments aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving multimodality (better coordination with rail transport) and developing better cooperation between regional airports that are geographically close to each other but are situated in different (cross-border) countries. These amendments were all rejected, leaving me with no choice but to vote against the report."@en1
