lpv:translated text	"According to a study carried out by the London School of Economics and the Max Planck Institute, women are the main victims of climate change and are more at risk than men of dying in natural disasters. Furthermore, 75-80% of the world’s refugees are women and children and climate change contributes to this population displacement and very often the precarious nature of their situation. That is why I voted in favour of the Kiil-Nielsen report on women and climate change because Parliament must show that we must take the gender issue into account and integrate it into European policies on the fight against climate change. The approach and the measures proposed in this report are relevant, be it introducing 40%+ quotas in the European delegations responsible for climate change negotiations, gender-based data collection, awareness-raising when evaluating or launching climate change projects, investments for increasing women’s financial independence and their means of emancipation within their community."@en1
