"I voted for this report, which aims to strengthen our relations with Azerbaijan. I note that the process is running its course in accordance with the procedures determined by the European Union and the guarantees provided by Azerbaijan. I would also like to point out that the association agreement is the next logical step in the partnership and cooperation agreements already in place between the EU and Azerbaijan. Two points in particular caught my eye: the need to ensure compliance with EU requirements and the recourse to regional cooperation to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict."@en1
