This resolution encourages the development of measures with a view to resolving some of the most crucial aspects of this issue. That is why I obviously voted in favour of this text. It promotes both local and global solutions, as the issue concerns farmers in our developed countries as well as citizens in developing countries, and puts this issue back into the wider context of climate change. It encourages significant investment in research and development, and the development of efficient usage of resources."@en1
