lpv:translated text	"I voted in favour of the European Parliament consent to the International Cocoa Agreement 2010 because it defines improvements to the social and market sustainability of the cocoa production industry, establishing a fair balance between prices for consumers and producers. The European Union is one of the main importers of cocoa beans: therefore, we both have the need and the responsibility to get involved in the multilateral process of international market regulation. I very positively welcomed the decision to link the adoption of the agreement to a resolution and a Commission statement on child labour in the cocoa sector: the issue certainly merits separate treatment, given its crucial relevance in the field of children’s rights. We urgently must take the direction of a total ban on child labour in trade."@en1
