". This report includes certain specific issues regarding changes in judicial training. It should be read in the context of recent legal developments as part of the integration process, and particularly those taking place or otherwise included in the Stockholm Programme. As we have already said, this programme as a whole constitutes ‘a violent attack on an issue as central to state sovereignty as justice’. The inanity, and even ludicrousness, of some of the report’s proposals, such as the development of applications – ‘apps’ – as interactive and accessible as Apple’s iTunes, should not make us forget what underlies it. The intention is to coordinate the training of judges with a view to legal harmonisation for the purpose of creating a ‘European area of justice’ based on the principles of the Stockholm Programme. For these reasons, we did not vote for this report."@en1
