lpv:translated text	"When, on 14 March, the European Parliament voted on guidelines for the preparation of the 2013 budget in respect of the Commission, I chose to vote in favour because I support the overarching aims of a restrained budget with the focus on sustainability and growth. However, the report contains elements that go against the general guidelines. Restraint is to be encouraged. In cases where more money is demanded, I voted in favour of amendments intended to prevent this and in favour of clear, measurable targets for payments for specific purposes. Additional resources must not be provided unnecessarily, and increased costs can be dealt with by means of reprioritisations within the budget through transfers."@en1
