The Commission proposal keeps the European economy under harsh austerity measures, but what we should be concerned about is economic development, growth promotion and job creation. The Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament has managed to introduce some of these objectives. However, it is always important to stress that, if the Commission does not have an ambitious budget, it cannot intend to implement the Europe 2020 strategy."@en1
