lpv:translated text	"This report ends the dispute between the EU and the US over the application of retaliatory measures brought in by the US and Canada on agricultural products from Europe, following the EU’s decision, which I wholeheartedly support, to ban imports of meat containing prohibited hormones into the EU. The US and Canada had applied heavy duties to a number of agricultural products and derivatives from the EU, causing serious economic damage to our producers. Thanks to mediation by the Commission, a Memorandum of Understanding that resolves the long-running dispute, while maintaining the ban on importing meat treated with prohibited hormones into Europe, has finally been reached. I therefore voted in favour."@en1
