lpv:translated text	"In order to ensure that the Member States continue the implementation of the European Fisheries Fund (EFF) programmes on the ground and disburse funds to projects, the Commission has proposed provisions that would allow increased payments to be made to these countries relating to their financial stability for the period they are under the support mechanisms. It is therefore proposed that a top-up of ten percentage points will be applied to the cofinancing rates applicable to the priority axis of the programmes for newly certified expenditure submitted during the period in question. This increase will not lead to additional financial burdens on the overall budget, since the total financial allocation to the EFF for the countries in question during the period at issue will not be changed. Since I consider this measure important and urgently needed, I voted for Parliament’s position, which results from the amendments tabled by the Group of the European People’s Party (Christian Democrats), to which I belong."@en1
