lpv:translated text	"The sustained financial and economic crisis is exercising increasing pressure on national financial resources, in different ways depending on the Member State. Particularly over the past decade, we have seen an accentuation of the disparities and imbalances within the EU: the consequences of these imbalances take many forms. One is the capacity to access and utilise Community funds. Bearing this in mind, the priorities of the European Fisheries Fund need to be reconfigured so that they are primarily focused on supporting productive activity – such as fleet renewal and modernisation, increased sustainability, improved selectivity of fishing gear, and engine replacement – and the development of coastal communities. This vote therefore provides a stimulus for the implementation of the common fisheries policy and in the area of the Law of the Sea."@en1
