"I voted in favour of this text because I am convinced of the importance of the Commission’s proposal to increase Community cofinancing for the countries facing the greatest difficulties on this front. The sustained financial and economic crisis is actually increasing the pressure on national financial resources. In order to ensure that the Member States continue the implementation of the European Fisheries Fund, we need to increase the payments to be made to these countries for the period they are under the support mechanisms."@en1
