"I am against the text because Mr Giegold calls for the Commission and the Member States to take the necessary measures to ensure full application of EU legislation on European cooperative societies (SCEs). The proposal sees these societies as an effective way to get the EU economy moving, but there are significant problems, such as the harmonisation required across Europe given the different economies and legal frameworks of the Member States. Another thing that confirms my opposition to this report is the desire to employ high ratios of migrant workers in SCEs."@en1
