With this agreement with Morocco, a country that has recently undertaken important democratic reforms, Europe is giving concrete support to the development of Euro-Mediterranean countries. This agreement represents an opening up to neighbouring countries that participated in the Arab Spring, and the beginning of the development of the economic reforms needed in Europe in order to establish safer and fairer trade zones in the Mediterranean.
