The programme supports almost 18 million people, including the unemployed, the homeless, single parents and the disabled. This important resolution will enable these people to continue benefiting from the scheme at least until the end of 2013. In the current economic climate, schemes such as this are vital in helping to guarantee the welfare of EU citizens."@en1
