".
The EU–Guinea-Bissau Fisheries Partnership Agreement applied for the period 2007–2011 and came to end on 15 June 2011. The two parties have decided to conclude a one-year protocol, with the terms of the expired protocol renewed and basically unchanged. The absence of a protocol until now was due to refusal by the EU to accept Guinea-Bissau’s demand for an increased financial contribution. With this agreement, the 37 fishing licences for Member State fleets continue, four of which are for Portugal. We would also note that there are a number of problems with development aid that should be overcome."@en1
