lpv:translated text	". Businesses are increasingly expanding beyond national borders, using the opportunities offered by the single market and globalisation. Consequently, there is an increasing demand by these businesses for access to information on companies in a cross-border context (either for commercial purposes or for better access to justice). However, this cross-border access to information on companies assumes cross-border cooperation between commercial registers. To a certain extent, this cooperation was already in place but was limited to certain types of information and did not involve all Member States. That is why I welcome the adoption of this directive which establishes a purely technical interconnection of existing national registers. A platform has also been created to improve and speed up communication and retrieval of information by citizens and businesses."@en1
