"I agree with Mr Masip Hidalgo’s report on enforcing intellectual property rights since there is still a need to find an overall framework for creating a single market for these rights. The proposals contained in this report aim at modernising the legal framework by assigning the tasks of enforcing these rights to the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market (OHIM). There is also a need to revitalise the role of the European Observatory on Counterfeiting and Piracy, which requires greater human, financial and technological resources in order to perform its essential role of monitoring and data collection."@en1
