In the context of energy access in developing countries, I believe that the focus should be on renewable energy sources, as proposed at the ‘ ’ in France. I therefore voted for retaining paragraph 37 of the report which calls on the Commission and the Member States neither to fund nor to otherwise encourage the use of nuclear power in developing countries, given the serious security and sustainability concerns raised by this energy source."@en1
