I should emphasise the importance of acknowledging female role models among the peacekeeping forces in order to highlight their contribution to the mission’s success. They play an important role in the army organisation through the courage they display on the front line. At the same time, we must raise awareness among the public and decision makers about the sexual abuses committed in war zones. I, too, support the initiative for setting up specialist clinics for administering to victims any medical and psychological care they require.
