"The aim of this report, which I voted in favour of, is to clarify the wording of part of Regulation (EC) No 810/2009 establishing a Community Code on Visas. This regulation of 13 December 2009 simplifies the airport transit of third-country nationals who hold a valid residence permit or a visa issued by a Member State. This is a purely technical amendment which will allow a simpler procedure for exemption from the airport transit visa requirement."@en1
