"Mr President, Mr Orbán, ladies and gentlemen, some of the criticisms made against your government in the last few months are genuine, but the majority are clearly instrumental and ideological. We have had proof of this today, because you have come to Parliament and offered to provide the explanations required, which is clear proof that you can be trusted to act democratically. However, some have continued to protest, showing that they are in bad faith, have no interest in hearing what you have to say, and are motivated by ideological reasons alone. It is no coincidence that those protesting today are the children and grandchildren of the regime which in 1949 imposed the constitution that you and your government have finally removed. The logical consequence of this is that we should apply the penalties of Article 7 to countries where they retire before the age of 62, whereas countries where they retire after the age of 62 are democratic. We are bordering on the ridiculous Mr President …"@en1
