"We voted in favour of the resolution on the December European Council today. We voted in favour because the resolution clearly states that the agreement that is now being negotiated between the Member States shall be subordinate to current EU legislation. It also states that all Member States, irrespective of whether or not they have introduced the euro, shall have the right to participate in the meetings with the Heads of State or Government that will be held by the parties to the agreement, which is an important issue as far as we are concerned. We are, however, opposed to the demands for a financial transaction tax and the introduction of Eurobonds."@en1
