By 2020, the number of people killed on European roads will have to have reduced by half in relation to 2010. Parliament is also demanding an overall 20% reduction in CO emissions from road, maritime and air transport in relation to 1990. Lastly, European towns are called on to develop safe infrastructures for pedestrians and cyclists.
