lpv:translated text	"As a consequence of the economic and financial crisis, the ongoing fiscal consolidation across the EU and the reductions in defence budgets in the majority of Member States may lead to substantial programme cuts, shrinkages or delays for almost all Member States, which is likely to continue to affect the European defence industry as well as the EU’s scientific progress in this sector. Furthermore, this may result in job losses in the medium and long term. Bearing in mind the importance of the facts put before us, and finding myself in agreement with all the amendments that have been tabled, I am voting in favour of the report."@en1
