"By adopting this report, the European Parliament is seeking the introduction of a new set of more consumer-friendly labelling rules for fruit juices and nectars. The new rules aim to prevent potentially misleading names for mixed juices and various indications, such as ‘no added sugar’. Our priority is to offer consumers accurate information so that they know what they are buying. The final document highlights the key role played by this House in banning added sugar in products sold as fruit juices and in clarifying the presence of sugars or sweeteners in similar drinks."@en1
