lpv:translated text	"Mr President, I will endeavour to make my speech shorter than it should be in order to save on time. I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone for all their remarks concerning the report, both positive and negative. ‘Nobody is perfect’, as they said in a well-known film. If we were to collect all the remarks which you, ladies and gentlemen, have submitted, we could embark on writing another report. So many issues, interesting and important from the point of view of Europe’s defence, have been addressed. I do realise that my report will not resolve all the problems. My intention was only to draw attention to the important issues relating to the financial crisis, to look at the financial crisis in the defence sector from a new perspective, whilst highlighting not only the risks but also new opportunities. I am very pleased that a decisive majority of you, ladies and gentlemen, supported the main points of my report. I think we all agree that security should not be neglected. Many journalists or colleagues from this House have asked me who exactly this report is addressed to, who exactly should be considering all the points made. I believe that it is not actually addressed to the High Representative, and I would like to apologise to her for saying this, since Baroness Ashton has supported most of our points. The report is addressed, first and foremost, to the Member States, to the governments and to the parliaments of the EU Member States. Accordingly, if the report is adopted tomorrow, it is with these governments and parliaments of the EU Member States that we should now engage in dialogue on this matter."@en1
