"Ukraine has been a priority for the European Union due to its importance geostrategically and in matters of natural (specifically energy) resources. Accordingly, the proposals included in the report at the economic level are not unexpected, nor is it unexpected that the principles that the EU claims as its own are disrespected, specifically the separation of powers and the impartiality or transparency and independence of the judiciary from political power, of which the attempt to influence the proceedings that the Ukrainian justice institutions have brought against Yulia Tymoshenko is an example.
We reject the foreign interference that this report promotes, in continuing other policies that do not take account of the interests of the Ukrainian people or the peoples of the EU countries, but of those of the economic and financial monopolies, of which the proposed creation of a Free Trade Zone is yet another example."@en1
